BMI partnered recently (3/11) with Entercom’s 94.1 The Wolf to present the 2nd annual songwriters festival held at the Halloran Centre for Performing Arts and Education in Memphis, TN. Headlining the festival were award-winning BMI songwriters Barry Dean, Casey Beathard, Sarah Buxton and session musician and producer Tom Bukovac. Dean, Beathard and Buxton have collectively written chart-topping songs for superstars including Jason Aldean, Little Big Town, Keith Urban, Eric Church, Martina McBride, Darius Rucker, Tim McGraw, George Strait, Tracy Byrd, Hunter Hayes, Gary Allan, Florida Georgia Line and The Band Perry, amongst others. The audience was also treated to a special VIP reception before the performance. A portion of the proceeds from ticket sales for the event went to support the Halloran Centre’s programs for students, teachers and families, which currently serves more than 50,000 annually.
