BMI and VIP Music Records’ Secret Hit Host Songwriting Camp in New York
BMI in collaboration with Secret Hit, a subsidiary marketing platform of VIP Music Records, held their first songwriting camp together on February 27 and 28, at the legendary Quad Studios in Times Square in New York City. Prominent urban songwriters from various countries were carefully selected by VIP Music Records’ CEO Fabrizio Moreira and BMI’s Mary Russe. The event was developed to foster gender bending collaborations among a talented pool of participants, which included Xtassy, Eddy Beethoven, Yendry, D-Teck, Nápoles, Smiley Rojas-Nuñez, GPro, Fvrthr, Chioma Eze, Kontravasy, Blu Lyon, Christian Lizarbe, Chemist, Rastar, Eliseo Severino, J Reyes, Chemist and Abxara Alvarez. Throughout the weekend, participants wrote and recorded nine tracks, for potential placement opportunities within VIP Music Records’ roster of talented crossover artists.
