BMI Brilliance Dinner Honors Singer/Songwriter Nija Charles

BMI’s R&B/Hip-Hop team honored GRAMMY-nominated singer/songwriter Nija Charles at The Fleur Room in Los Angeles, CA on Saturday, June 24. The evening celebrated Charles’ impressive work with some of the industry’s biggest stars such as Beyonce, Lady Gaga, H.E.R., Megan Thee Stallion and more. She has been nominated for three GRAMMYs throughout her career, including Album of the Year for her work on Beyonce’s Renaissance. Charles was also among the nominees for the GRAMMY’s first-ever Songwriter of the Year, Non-Classical in 2023. To date, Charles has won 9 BMI award in total – 4 at the Pop Awards, 3 at the London Awards and 2 at the R&B/Hip-Hop Awards. Her debut as a solo artist in her own right, Don’t Say I Didn’t Warn You, dropped in 2022, and she is currently working on more new music.
