BMI was proud to present our “How I Wrote That Song®” panel at the inaugural Centroamérica Mercado Musical (CAMM) in Guatemala on June 17. As the first music market in the region, CAMM is dedicated to strengthening and energizing the music sector in the countries that make up Central America. Their mission is to promote the negotiation, circulation and exchange of experiences between passionate musicians from Central America and Latin America.

Moderated by BMI’s Director, Creative, Latin, RC Carranza, this edition of “How I Wrote That Song” was conducted at Centro de Formación de la Cooperación Española en La Antigua Guatemala, and featured Francisco Páez, singer/songwriter and vocalist for the rock/pop Latino band Malacates Trébol Shop, as well as rapper Kontra Marín. They both delved into their creative process, shared stories behind their collaborations, talked about their journey in the music industry, musical influences, and more for an informative and inspiring conversation.
