To kick off the celebration of the 20th anniversary of “BMI Day” on November 5 at Berklee College of Music, two-time Emmy award-winning BMI composer Trevor Morris traveled to Boston to conduct a special scoring session with the school’s film scoring students. Morris, who’s recognized for scoring films such as London Has Fallen, Olympus Has Fallen, Immortals, and Hunter Killer, as well as his contributions to TV, which include music for The Tudors, The Borgias, and Vikings, among others, also delivered the afternoon’s keynote address and talked about his creative process. In addition, during a festive luncheon hosted by the school to commemorate BMI’s milestone with Berklee, BMI’s Vice President Creative – Film, TV & Visual Media, Doreen Ringer-Ross, presented Berklee College film scoring student Noa Beazley with the 2018 BMI Film Scoring Scholarship. At the presentation, the talented aspiring composer also affiliated with BMI. The day closed out with Ringer-Ross and Morris talking with the film scoring seniors about career development and options to pursue after they graduate.
