BMI Celebrates Its Composers at 2nd Annual Emmy Reception
On September 6, BMI hosted a reception at its Los Angeles office to honor the talented composers who have been nominated for Emmy Awards. The event was a celebration of musical excellence bringing together industry professionals to recognize and applaud the exceptional achievements of BMI’s composers.
Tracy McKnight, BMI’s VP of Creative, Film, TV and Visual Media, hosted the reception and presented a video showcasing the nominees and their acclaimed works. Some of the composers in attendance included Chanda Dancy (Lawmen: Bass Reeves), Camilo Forero (Beckham), Blake Neely (Masters Of The Air), Atli Örvarsson (Silo), Carlos Rafael Rivera (Lessons In Chemistry), Atticus Ross (Shogun), Leopold Ross (Shogun) and Kara Talve (The Tattooist Of Auschwitz), among others. Additionally, members of the Alliance for Women Film Composers (AWFC) were in attendance including Allyson Newman and Sherri Chung, along with Sandro Morales-Santoro who is the co-president of the Composers Diversity Collective (CDC).
