BMI Celebrates John Williams at Hollywood Bowl Performance

BMI’s LA office was honored to join one of Hollywood’s greatest composers, John Williams, during his performances at the Hollywood Bowl. A different group of BMI team members attended each night of the popular and sold-out event, which ran from Friday, July 7 to Sunday, July 9, 2023. The maestro was incredibly kind as he met with BMI staff backstage before each show. John and Gustavo Dudamel collaborated on conducting, each leading a portion of the show. The conductors even had a friendly lightsaber fight, much to the delight of the audience. Film clips often accompanied the LA Philharmonic as they played selections from some of John’s most memorable film scores, including Star Wars, E.T., Jurassic Park, Schindler’s List, and Indiana Jones.
