BMI’s Latin team helped celebrate Mexican Independence Day with a festive evening inspired by the sounds of that nation’s traditional and contemporary music. Held on Friday, September 16, at the Levitt Pavilion in Pasadena, this final installment of the Summer Nights series featured Mexican-American bands Aparato! and Sin Color. Aparato! opened the show with their unique blend of Spanish rock played with traditional Mexican instruments. Sin Color, meanwhile, closed proceedings with a set of their original Latin pop, wowing the crowd with lead vocalist Crisia Regalado’s powerful range covering a song by late Mexican singer, Juan Gabriel.
