The Future is Female, a concert for women in film presented by FIF Concerts and Events Inc., showcased the work of several female BMI composers who cemented their right to be considered among the film industry’s top up-and-comers. All are currently working in film, TV, and video games and each composer presented an original work performed by a 31-piece orchestra coordinated with the help of The Hollywood Chamber Orchestra, run by BMI composer Mark Robertson and Noah Gladstone. The featured BMI composers whose works were showcased include Tangelene Bolton, who conducted her score “Divertimento,” Jessica Rae Huber, who conducted “Life and Dying: a Particular Account,” Perrine Virgile-Piekarski, who conducted “Ten Years,” Nami Melumad, who conducted “New Zealand’s Guide to Tessering,” and Toriz Letzler performing “Cease to Exist.”

Congratulations to all. BMI is proud to represent you!
