BMI Congratulates its 2018 ACM Winners
There were several big wins for BMI affiliates last night at the Academy of Country Music Awards, held in Las Vegas at the MGM Grand Garden Arena. The star-studded event celebrated the best in country with performances by some of its biggest stars, including Jason Aldean, Carrie Underwood, Thomas Rhett, Luke Bryan, Jon Pardi, Keith Urban, Maren Morris, Kane Brown, Lauren Alaina, Toby Keith, Florida Georgia Line, Chris Young, Blake Shelton, Kenny Chesney and Chris Janson. Additionally, an emotional tribute to those who were affected by the tragic Las Vegas shooting last year opened the ceremony, showing that they will never be forgotten. Notably, Rhett Akins took Songwriter of the Year, and nine-time reigning Female Vocalist of the Year, Miranda Lambert, who also performed, made ACM history by collecting her 32nd trophy, making her the most-awarded artist in ACM Awards history.
