BMI Congratulates its 2018 Americana Music Awards Nominees
Once again, BMI songwriters have made a strong showing in the nominations for the annual Americana Music Honors & Awards Show. This year, Jason Isbell is in line for multiple awards, specifically Artist of the Year, Album of the Year for The Nashville Sound, Song of the Year for “If We Were Vampires,” and Duo/Group of the Year for Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit. Producer/songwriter David Cobb received two nods for Album of the Year for his work on both Isbell’s The Nashville Sound and Brandi Carlile’s By The Way, I Forgive You, as well as Song of the Year for co-writing Carlile’s “The Joke.” Celebrating achievements in authentic American roots music over the course of the year, the Americana Music Honors & Awards Show will be held in Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium on Wednesday, September 12.
