BMI Congratulates its 2024 Latin American Music Award Winners

It was another great night for BMI songwriters at last night’s 2024 Latin American Music Awards, which were held at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas. In recognition of outstanding achievements in the Latin music industry as voted on by the public, this ninth edition of the Latin AMAs found a robust list of BMI affiliates being called the stage to collect their trophies.

The biggest winner of the evening was Karol G, who claimed six awards in total, specifically for Artist of the Year, Song of the Year for “TQG” with Shakira, Album of the Year for Mañana Será Bonito, Global Latin Artist of the Year, Best Artist – Urban and Best Album – Urban for Mañana Será Bonito. It was also a special evening for Yandel who, along with winning Collaboration of the Year and Best Song – Urban for “Yandel 150,” his song with Feid*, he was given the Latin AMA Pioneer Awards. Other multiple-award winners included Shakira and Young Miko, who both took home three awards, while other special-award recipients included Ricardo Montaner and Banda MS de Sergio Lizárraga, who both won the Latin AMA Legacy Award.

Beyond the accolades, it was a full evening of live music, featuring performances by Peso Pluma, Justin Quiles, Gabito Ballesteros, Chino Pacas, Milo Beat, Sergio George, Venesti, Dalex, Dimelo Flow, Ryan Castro, Kymani Marley, Sech, Wisin, Anitta and many more.
