BMI Congratulates its Winners at Billboard’s 2024 Latin Music Awards
BMI is very proud of its many affiliates who were recognized for their exceptional music at Billboard’s Latin Music Awards, which were held last Thursday in Miami. Karol G was the evening’s biggest winner, collecting six awards, with her fellow collaborator Peso Pluma receiving five. Both BMI singer/songwriters shared wins for their song “Qlona,” which took the trophies for Hot Latin Song of the Year and Streaming Song of the Year. Californian Musica Mexicana band, Fuerza Regida, also took home multiple awards, including Hot Latin Songs Artist of the Year, Duo or Group, Top Latin Albums Artist of the Year, Duo or Group, Regional Mexican Artist of the Year, Duo or Group and Regional Mexican Album of the Year. Additionally, hitmaker J Balvin was a special honoree who was given the Spirit of Hope Award.
Beyond the accolades, it was an amazing night of music, featuring stellar performances by legends such as Gloria Trevi, Gabito Ballesteros, J Balvin, Yandel and many others.
