BMI Country Songwriters Dominate 35th Annual MusicRow Awards
The 35th annual MusicRow Awards were revealed yesterday, and BMI affiliates swept eight out of the fourteen categories. Jelly Roll earned both breakthrough categories as he won Breakthrough Artist/Writer of the Year and Breakthrough Artist of the Year, while Morgan Wallen won Male Artist of the Year and the coveted title of Entertainer of the Year. BMI’s Trannie Anderson was recognized as Breakthrough Songwriter of the Year while Ashley Cooke was named Discovery Artist of the Year. Song of the Year went to HARDY for his chart-topping hit “Wait in the Truck” while Joey Moi earned Producer of the Year.
The MusicRow Awards are Nashville’s longest-running music industry trade publication to honor the achievements of songwriters, artists, producers, and more. Winners are voted on by MusicRow’s subscribers.
