BMI Educates and Entertains at Wyoming Hospitality & Tourism Conference

BMI provided both education and entertainment at the 2020 Wyoming Governor’s Hospitality & Tourism Conference, held recently (2/24-25) in Cheyenne. Dedicated to celebrating and educating Wyoming’s tourism industry, the Wyoming Governor’s Conference is an annual event that brings together more than 300 influential tourism and hospitality industry representatives. One of the educational sessions, which was led by BMI, focused on the legal obligations associated with the public performance of music by businesses in the hospitality and tourism space. Later in the day, at the legislative reception, BMI sponsored a performance by Nashville-based singer/songwriter Ian Munsick. Munsick, a Sheridan, Wyoming native, was part of the legendary family band “The Munsick Boys,” and moved to Nashville in 2013 to pursue a full-time career in the music industry. Munsick’s songs have been streamed more than 6.5 million times on Spotify. He alsorecently signed a deal with Erv Woolsey, longtime manager for George Strait.
