BMI was in San Marcos, Texas recently (7/12-13) to help educate brewers from the Lone Star State on how to license the music offered in their taprooms and brewpubs. BMI joined Libby Brennan of St. Elmo Brewing and Carlos Russo of Aqua Brew on a panel entitled “Demystifying Music Licensing,” which was featured at the Texas Craft Brewers Guild annual Education & Safety Summit. The session was moderated by Texas Craft Brewers Guild Executive Director Charles Vallhonrat and focused on copyright law and the legalities associated with public performances of music in a brewery.
