BMI songwriter Frank Myers journeyed back to his home state of Ohio recently (9/6) to entertain Cleveland area members of the Ohio Hotel & Lodging Association at their annual Stars of Industry Awards luncheon held at the Crowne Plaza Playhouse Square, a long time BMI licensee. The hoteliers gather annually to honor excellence in their field, ranging from awards given for the “Best in Housekeeping” to “General Manager of the Year.” Myers, a native of Dayton, wrote the two mega hits “Just You and I” for Eddie Rabbit and Crystal Gayle, and “I Swear,” which was a # 1 song for John Michael Montgomery, and later was taken to the top of the pop charts by R & B vocal group All 4 One.
