BMI Helps Washington DC Restaurant Executives Understand the Power of Music
The fall board meeting of the Restaurant Association of Metropolitan Washington, DC (RAMW) was highlighted by a presentation from BMI on how live music can drive traffic to bars and restaurants and increase food and beverage revenue. The presentation, which also featured remarks from BMI songwriter and independent artist Sheena Brook, focused on a recent BMI survey that showed the significant role that music plays when consumers select a restaurant to dine in as well as the time they spend at that establishment. BMI’s Dan Spears also spoke to the steps that restauranteurs need to take to ensure they have secured the appropriate music licenses when they feature music in their businesses. Following the board meeting, Brook performed at the RAMW’s “Member Meet-up” that was attended by restaurant owners and operators from the DC metro area. The Florida native was a contestant on Season 12 of NBC’s The Voice and was selected as a member of Adam Levine’s team.
BMI has had a long-standing partnership with the RAMW.
