On September 17, BMI’s Assistant Vice President of Creative- Film, TV & Visual Media, Ray Yee, hosted music industry executives, songwriters and composers for a day of golf with all proceeds benefiting Education Through Music – Los Angeles (ETM-LA), an independent 501(c)(3) organization that partners with disadvantaged inner-city schools to provide and promote music. A record 95 players competed in the highly-anticipated golf tournament, which was held at Angeles National Golf Club in Sunland, CA.

The day concluded with BMI’s Yee awarding the top teams with Josh Collum, Scott Cresto, Alex Edwards, and Perrin Lamb winning the tournament. During the ceremony, participants were treated to a special trumpet performance by Jose Santiago who was a former student of ETM-LA’s program at Castelar Elementary School. Santiago shared, along with his mother, the invaluable role his music teachers and music played in helping him be the confident high-school sophomore he is today.
