BMI Hosts Mixer for Local Texas Songwriters and Producers
BMI welcomed over 25 pop and EDM songwriters and producers to its Austin office on Tuesday, August 13, to help build connections within the local Texas music community. Attendees were given the opportunity to network with BMI’s Austin Creative team and develop professional relationships with other creatives while enjoying beverages supplied by Big Hat Spirits, Topo Chico, and Still Austin Whiskey.
“Austin has such a fast-growing pop music scene, and the BMI Austin office is providing a way for those songwriters, artists, and producers to meet, grow relationships, and foster collaboration through meet-ups,” said Mitch Ballard, BMI’s Executive Creative Director, Austin. To conclude the evening, Gina Chavez, Vice President of The Recording Academy, stopped by the mixer to connect and discuss the benefits of becoming a GRAMMY member with affiliates.
