BMI Indie Spotlight: ALEXSUCKS

Posted in News on July 16, 2024

A band of unpredictable wildcards, ALEXSUCKS are making a name for themselves on the alternative rock scene. Vocalist/songwriter Alex Alvarez’s unapologetic style and catchy, singalong lyrics and the band’s garage dance-punk-inspired sound, captured on their debut nine-song project, The Gutter, have struck a chord with audiences on their recent headline tour, gigs at festivals like Life is Beautiful and an opening slot for the Red Hot Chili Peppers at the Forum in Los Angeles. The band’s single, “What’re We Doing Here,” charted across US and Australian radio and gained prominent placement on Spotify and Apple’s biggest alternative playlists. Their most recent single, “Whatever I Want” was released this past April. Currently in the studio with legendary producer Brendan O’Brien, ALEXSUCKS plans to release an LP later this summer.
