The son of legendary guitarist Ry Cooder, multi-instrumentalist songwriter Joachim Cooder experienced the touring musician’s life from an early age, accompanying his father on the road and in the studio as his band’s drummer. These formative experiences found him sharing stages and recording sessions with named like Johnny Cash, Johnny Cash, Ali Farka Touré, V. M. Bhatt, Steve Earle, John Lee Hooker, Dr. John, Nick Lowe, Mavis Staples, The Happy Mondays, and others. At age 19, Joachim was a contributor the award-winning Buena Vista Social Club project, which has sold more than eight million copies worldwide, and entered the Guinness Book of World Records as the best-selling World Music album of all time. His latest solo album is the acclaimed Dreamer’s Motel.
