BMI Indie Spotlight: Matilda Marigolds
As the daughter of a NYC-based drummer, it was almost inevitable Matilda Marigolds would soon start to forge her own musical path. She is a self-taught multi-instrumentalist – including piano, bass, guitar, drums – as well as producer and engineer who now studies at Berklee College of Music. Prior to releasing her two singles, “Time 2 Go” and “Jesus Christ,” Matilda has been credited as the youngest Berklee Popular Music Institute Artist and was recently awarded Berklee’s Best New Artist (2023). Currently, she is writing her sophomore album and plans to release a new EP, Hatchet, in 2024.
