BMI Indie Spotlight: Meg Smith

Posted in News on March 15, 2023

Meg Smith is an indie pop singer/songwriter whose debut single, “Cross My Heart I Hope U Die” is the theme of Ezra, the popular LGBTQ+ vampire series on Apple TV (she also appeared in the first season!), and a soundtrack song in the second season of Netflix’s Ginny and Georgia. She notably won BMI’s inaugural Charlie Feldman Award for Emerging Talent and has had her music featured on prominent streaming playlists including New Music Friday, Fresh & Chill, Young & Free, and more. Among her most popular singles are “Cautiously Optimistic,” “All the Things You’d Ruin,” and “Cool 4 U,” and her newest EP, Rom Com Pop, dropped in February 2023. Smith has received praise from Wonderland, who said “her infectious pop melodies are underpinned by vulnerable, relatable lyrics that resonate with countless fans around the globe,” and Atwood Magazine, who praised her “wit, warmth, and her undeniable charisma.”
