BMI Indie Spotlight: Summer 2022
The weather is warming up, and the BMI Indie team is delighted to introduce nine new artists and bands whose futures are as bright as the summer sunshine. First, we have The Regrettes, whose deep pandemic introspection led to a cathartic album, followed by JORDY, an artist known for his shimmering instrumentals and relatable lyrics, and the twin brothers of KAIRO, who followed their dreams from Nigeria, bringing along delightful harmonies. We also think you should know about Richie Quake, a talented Brooklynite with a knack for exposing what’s raw and real, little luna, who isn’t afraid to share her intimate journey of self-discovery with fans, and Clubhouse, a group of childhood friends who rallied after challenging times to make even stronger music. Rounding out the crew is Hayley Warner, a velvet-voiced Australian ready to share her perspective with the world, Tribe Friday of Sweden, who layer emotional lyrics over frenetic garage rock, and Chelsea Effect, a group of experienced musicians delighting listeners with their fresh and vibrant sensibility.
See it all in our latest indie issue.
