Teenage Priest, the solo project of Taylor Van Ginkel, is known for his modulated, loop-based instrumentals and introspective lyrics. He first gained popularity with the independent single “Cool To You,” followed by his first EP, Rhymes and Rhythms, in August 2021 and his debut album, Let It Pass, in December 2022. His latest album, Tails, was released in January, and includes the singles “Best In Show” and “Heaven.” The album has garnered support from major streaming platforms like Spotify, Apple Music, and Tidal. Beyond his solo work, Taylor is also a sought-after producer and songwriter, contributing to projects by artists like Deb Never, Bishop Briggs, and KAIRO.
