BMI Indie Spotlight: Tish Melton
Tish Melton is an 18-year-old singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, lauded for her emotionally charged and incredibly relatable lyricism. Inspired by clear-eyed storytelling and indie rock influences, Melton chronicles teenage relationships – the good, the bad, and the ugly – as she’s living them. Through songs like “The Chase,” “Michelle,” and “Damage,” Melton personifies the ups and downs of adolescence with lush harmonies and staggering melodies. After a viral performance of then-16-year-old Melton, made its way to 9x GRAMMY winner, Brandi Carlile, she instantly saw a familiar spark in Tish. For her debut EP, When We’re Older, coming later this year, Melton teamed up with Carlile, who joins as producer.
