BMI Latin Songwriters Celebrate Breadth of Latin Music at Noche Bohemia Showcase

BMI proudly presented its Noche Bohemia showcase featuring acoustic performances by some of today’s top Latin stars, including Santiago Cruz, Jesus Omar Tarazón, Stefano Vieni, Cuitla Vega, and Beto Vargas on Thursday, May 4, at Candela in Los Angeles. Latin GRAMY-nominated Colombian singer/songwriter and arranger Beto Vargas opened the proceedings with a handful of outstanding selections, mixing Latin rhythms and his Colombian roots with sounds and styles influenced by American pop. Mexican singer/songwriter Cuitla Vega delivered a remarkable set that moved the attendees. Mexican/Italian producer, singer/songwriter Stefano Vieni kept the audience engaged with a batch of his chart-topping hits. Sinaloa, Mexico’s own hitmaker Jesús Omar Tarazón invigorated the crowd by performing an array of #1 hits he’s penned for the likes of Tigres Del Norte, among others. The evening closed with Latin GRAMMY-nominated singer/songwriter Santiago Cruz providing a rollicking set that brought attendees to their feet.

BMI’s Noche Bohemia celebrated these chart-topping and aspiring singer-songwriters who have successfully penned hits in various genres of Latin music. Each singer/songwriter has written songs that became hits for some of today’s top Latin performers, including Tigres Del Norte, Kalimba, Regulo Caro, La Arrolladora Banda El Limon, Luis Coronel, Banda El Recodo and El Komander.
