BMI Latin Songwriters Make Strong Showing with 2022 Premio Lo Nuestro Nominations

BMI is once again very proud to congratulate its many Latin songwriters singled out for nominations for this year’s Premio Lo Nuestro, Univision’s annual awards ceremony celebrating the best of Latin music.

Notable BMI affiliates with multiple nominations include million-selling Colombian singer/rapper/songwriter J Balvin, who received 10 nods, Colombian reggaeton/trap music star Karol G, who received nine nominations, Puerto Rican singer/rapper/songwriter Rauw Alejandro, who received eight nominations and beloved norteño band Los Dos Carnales, who received six nods. All of these music creators, as well as many BMI affiliates in categories across the board, are being recognized for creative work that has greatly contributed to the continued ascent of Latin music on a global scale.

The 34th edition of Premio Lo Nuestro is scheduled to air live from the FTX Arena in Miami, FL on Thursday, February 24 at 7:00 pm ET.
