BMI Latin Spotlight: Ashlee Valenzuela

Ashlee Valenzuela is a 23-year-old singer/songwriter from Arizona. She started writing her own songs when she was seventeen, influenced by artists like Alfredo Olivas, Cancerbero, Eminem and Eden Muñoz. Ashlee tries to compose music inspired through personal stories and stories she heard. Being of Mexican origin by her parents and born in the United States, she strives to help women succeed in music either as composers, musicians, or as part of the industry. She once formed part of the first Sierreño female group Conexión Divina and released the album Tres Mundos, which includes hit single “Odio” and collaborations from artists like Gabito Ballesteros and Los Aptos.


Ashlee Valenzuela, de 23 años, es una cantautora de Arizona. Empezó a componer a los 17, y la influenciaron artistas como Alfredo Olivas, Cancerbero, Eminem y Edén Muñoz. Ashlee trata de componer música que se inspira en historias personales y otras que escucha. Ya que es de origen mexicano y nació en Estados Unidos, se esfuerza por ayudar a las mujeres a tener éxito en la música, ya sea como compositoras, artistas o parte del ámbito. Anteriormente fue miembro del primer grupo femenil de música sierreña, Conexión Divina, y sacó el álbum Tres Mundos, que incluye el éxito “Odio” y colaboraciones con artistas como Gabito Ballesteros y Los Aptos.
