BMI Latin Spotlight: Musiana

Viviana Baptista, known professionally as Musiana, is a Venezuelan singer/songwriter with a distinctive voice and a psychedelic sound that blends folk, bossa nova, and “street” influences. Her lyrics are at once nostalgic and specific, and her first EP, Soy, was a home-produced body of work created under the sunsets of Miami. In 2020, she released two songs (“Abeja” and “Te encontré”), and in 2021, she released three additional singles including “Mufasa,” “Soltar y Ser (acustico),” and “LILITH,” the latter of which opens the path for the new phase of her career. In addition to her work as a solo artist, Musiana has also written for artists like Leslie Grace (“Bachatica”), Thalia, Farina, and Sofía Reyes (“TICK TOCK”), and Don Patricio (“Ciao Bella”).


Viviana Baptista, conocida profesionalmente como Musiana, es una cantautora venezolana con una voz que la distingue y un sonido sicodélico que combina la música folk, bossa nova e influencias de la calle. Sus letras son nostálgicas y específicas a la vez, y su primer EP, Soy, fue una compilación producida en casa y creada ante los anocheceres de Miami. En 2020 sacó dos canciones (“Abeja” y “Te encontré”), y en 2021, lanzó tres singles adicionales, “Mufasa”, “Soltar y ser (acústico)”, y “LILITH”, con la que inició una nueva fase de su carrera.
