BMI Partners Again with the Radio Advertising Bureau to Help Female Radio Executives Rise Through the Ranks
BMI recently hosted the 2023 Rising Through the Ranks program at its offices in Nashville. Now in its 15th year, the two-day program is designed to provide the training, education, and networking necessary for female radio executives to take a step up to the next level in their career. Each year BMI provides scholarships to 20 rising female radio executives from across the country so that they came come to Nashville to be provided with the tools to help fuel their professional growth. The sessions are taught by leaders from the Radio Adverting Bureau team as well as some of the most respected executives from the radio industry.
As part of RTTR, BMI also hosts a dinner, which is sponsored by Xperi, for all the participants that includes a performance by a female BMI songwriter who is currently rising through the ranks in the music industry. This year that performer was Columbia recording artist Ella Langley who played multiple songs from her upcoming project. The Alabama native has shared the stage with country superstars like Randy Houser, Parker McCollum, Jamey Johnson, Lainey Wilson and Cody Johnson while collaborating with BMI songwriter Elle King on multiple songs. And Spotify recently pegged her as a “Hot Country Artist to Watch for 2023.”
