BMI Partners with MFM and Lotus Communications to Present Scholarship in Memory of Beloved CFO

BMI was on hand at the 2023 Media Financial Management Association Conference in Los Angeles recently to help present the first ever William H. Shriftman Scholarship. BMI joined Lotus Communications in presenting a check to Kristen Galvarino, a senior accountant with Sinclair Broadcast Group. Bill Shriftman was a longtime friend of BMI’s and CFO of Lotus, an LA-based radio company that owns 48 stations in California, Washington state, Arizona, Nevada, and Idaho. Shriftman spent 35 years in the radio industry, 28 of them with Lotus Communications before passing away in July of 2019. The scholarship is in honor of his contributions to the broadcasting industry, Lotus & MFM and will be presented annually to a rising star in the media finance industry.
