BMI Pays Tribute to Retiring CEO of the Radio Advertising Bureau
BMI helped honor retiring Radio Advertising Bureau CEO Erica Farber at a recent board meeting of the national trade association held in Dallas. Farber, who has spent 12 years at the helm of the RAB, was presented with a BMI gold record in appreciation for the many years of support she has provided BMI songwriters and publishers. The gold record presentation was followed by a heartfelt and entertaining performance from BMI songwriter Erick Willis who performed in front of a large group independent station owners and as well executives from radio companies such as iHeartMedia, Audacy, Cumulus Media, Cox Radio, and Hubbard Broadcasting. The Texas artist was raised 100 miles outside of Dallas in the small town of Henrietta, where he grew up performing in the church choir and traveling to play in the Texasville Opry, Johnny High’s Country Music Show and the Texas Gold Country Music Show.
