Last night, BMI and Rebeleon Entertainment presented the highly anticipated 8th annual Los Producers at the Vinyl in the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, NV. The exclusive, invite-only live music event, hosted by Pili Montilla, featured performances by some of this year’s Latin GRAMMY Award nominees and industry innovators. Proceeds from the night benefitted MALDEF, which strives to implement programs that are structured to bring Latinos into the mainstream of American political and socio-economic life, providing better educational opportunities and offering a positive vision for the future.

As one of the most anticipated events of Latin GRAMMY week, the night kicked off with GRAMMY and Latin GRAMMY Award-winner Sebastian Krys and house band Los Producers performing “I Wanna Be Sedated” by the Ramones. Many of this year’s Latin GRAMMY Award-nominees kept the audience on their feet throughout the night, including Rozalén with her edgy rendition of “Zombie” by The Cranberries, Claudio Prieto and Maria Jose Quintanilla performing “What I Am” by Edie Brickell & New Bohemians and Raquel Sofia taking on TLC’s “Waterfalls.” Additional 2018 Latin GRAMMY Award-nominees graced the stage, including El David Aguilar for the reggae hit “Three Little Birds” by Bob Marley, Jean Rodriguez with his group COASTCITY with “Higher Ground” by Stevie Wonder, La Santa Cecilia and Claudia Brant performing a powerful version of Aretha Franklin’s classic, “Natural Woman,” and Beatriz Luengo with her spin on the Fugees’ hit rendition of Roberta Flack’s “Killing Me Softly.” Closing out the night, Los Petit Fellas gave an electric performance of “Gimme Tha Power” by Molotov.

Other highlights included rock group Comisario Pantera (“Don’t Look Back in Anger” by Oasis), Los Publishers (“Take Me Out” by Franz Ferdinand), MITRE (“Under Pressure” by Queen & David Bowie), Beto Cuevas (“Never Tear Us Apart” by INXS with Krys on saxophone), Avionica and Gustavo Galindo (“You Don’t Know How It Feels” by Tom Petty), Gian Marco and Pedro Capo (“Can’t Stand Losing You” by The Police), Jorge Blanco and Bambi (“Crazy Little Thing Called Love” by Queen), Manu Manzo and Feid (“Time of My Life” by Bill Medley & Jennifer Warnes from the Dirty Dancing soundtrack). Throughout the night, 2018 GRAMMY Award-nominee Andrés Torres backed several performances on the drums and Mr. Pauer provided a blend of festive DJ mixes to keep the packed house entertained between performances.

The event received support from this year’s generous sponsors, including Audio Network, NDLON, IBERIABANK, Warner/Chappell Music, Inc., Full Sail University, Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, Lurssen Mastering, peermusic, Sony/ATV Music Publishing, Universal Music Group and Talento Uno music.
