BMI Songwriter Returns Home to Pay Tribute to Mass Lodging Industry

BMI songwriter Sam James helped kick off the 2024 Massachusetts Lodging Association’s Stars of Industry Awards Luncheon with an inspired performance that set the tone for an afternoon that was dedicated to honoring excellence in the hospitality industry in the Bay State. Hoteliers from across the state gathered at historic Fenway Park in Boston where they were entertained with stories and songs from the Republic recording artist who has written hits for Dolly Parton, Bebe Rexha and Lee Brice. James, who is a native of Worcester, Mass, appeared on NBC’s Songland as well as The Voice and is currently working on his latest album which he hopes to release this year.

The Massachusetts Lodging Association’s mission is to promote the business environment and image of the lodging industry in the state through legislative and communications initiatives, networking and educational opportunities and member-focused programs and services.
