BMI To Present “How I Wrote That Song®” Panel at Billboard Latin Music Week
Featuring Armenta, Caleb Calloway, Álvaro Díaz, Alexis Fierro “Chachito” and Albert Hype
BMI is proud to present the panel “How I Wrote That Song®” The Urban and Música Mexicana Edition at this year’s Billboard Latin Music Week, held at The Fillmore in Miami Beach on Tuesday, October 15, 2024. The panel will highlight a dynamic lineup of influential artists and producers who are making waves across genres. Featured panelists include singer-songwriter Armenta, producer Caleb Calloway, urban-alt rapper Álvaro Díaz, singer-songwriter Alexis Fierro “Chachito” and producer Albert Hype. BMI’s VP of Creative, Latin, Jesus Gonzalez will moderate the conversation.

Armenta is a Mexican singer-songwriter known for hits like “Me Tocó Morir,” “Prefiero Empedarme,” “TQM,” and “Bebe Dame.” He has quickly risen to prominence in Latin America, collaborating with artists like Peso Pluma and Fuerza Regida. His latest project, INCÓMODO, an album by Tito Double P, features collaborations with renowned acts such as Grupo Frontera, Junior H, Chino Pacas, and Eslabón Armado.
Caleb Calloway is a groundbreaking producer in Latin music, recognized for tracks like “Classy 101” and “Panties y Brasieres.” He contributed to the Latin GRAMMY-winning album Dharma by Sebastián Yatra and is set to release his album Hayabusa, following collaborations with stars like Bad Bunny, Rauw Alejandro and Young Miko, among others.
Álvaro Díaz has achieved significant acclaim with his debut album, Felicilandia, earning multiple diamond and platinum certifications. He released his sophomore album, Sayonara, earlier this year and has collaborated with top artists, writing songs for the likes of Karol G and Rauw Alejandro, among others. With over 650 million global streams, he recently toured in Spain and is set to perform in the U.S. and Latin America this fall.
Alexis Fierro “Chachito” is the creative mind behind hits for artists like Oscar Maydon, Peso Pluma, Junior H, Natanael Cano and Gabito Ballesteros. He gained recognition with his first corrido “Gente De Accionar,” and later with the hit song “Fin De Semana,” which boasts nearly eight hundred million streams. Chachito is making waves in the industry, composing for rising stars while also being a manager and guiding the careers of talent.
Albert Hype is a two-time Latin GRAMMY-nominated producer who has worked with icons like Bad Bunny and Shakira. Notably, his work on the global hit “Telepatía” by Kali Uchis reached the No.10 spot on Billboard’s Top 200 Global chart. Albert has also produced multiple chart-topping tracks, including those for Selena Gomez and Rauw Alejandro, and continues to collaborate with influential artists in the industry.
“How I Wrote That Song®” The Urban and Música Mexicana Edition panel will be part of Billboard Latin Music Week, taking place October 14-18, 2024, in Miami.
