BMI Welcomes Budding Songwriters in Next Big Wave Series

It was an evening of networking last week in BMI’s Nashville office when the first of three sessions in the Next Big Wave series was held for some of Music Row’s newest unsigned songwriters looking to secure their first publishing deal. The evening provided a unique opportunity for the budding creatives to connect with other writers at similar points in their careers. Additionally, participants were able to hear from BMI’s Leslie Roberts and Next Big Wave alum Mikey Reaves on how to take their music to the next level.

Designed to forge personal relationships, foster professional connections and inspire growth and creativity, each event in the series is specifically tailored to a different group of new arrivals. The next two evenings in the series will be dedicated to new music industry hires and songwriters who have recently secured their first publishing deal. By giving attendees the opportunity to mix, mingle and dine with their peers while BMI’s Creative team is on-hand to provide information on the Company’s role in helping them navigate the industry, the series allows Nashville’s rising talent to create lasting relationships with BMI and beyond for a stronger Music Row community.
