BMI Wraps Fifth Season of Rooftop On the Row with Old Crow Medicine Show and JD Clayton
BMI hosted the final installment of its signature Rooftop On The Row series September 19, presented by George Dickel Bourbon, as Old Crow Medicine Show and JD Clayton packed in a capacity crowd on top of BMI’s Nashville location. Serving as the official kickoff to AMERICANAFEST, attendees enjoyed more than three hours of free entertainment, music and drinks that were provided by the event’s sponsors ONErpm, Cumulus 103.3 Country, Daou Vineyards, Liquid Death, Red Bull, Texas Roadhouse, Topo Chico, White Claw and Studio Bank.
“Our Rooftop On The Row series is one of BMI’s most highly anticipated events and we couldn’t have asked for a better way to conclude this year than with Old Crow Medicine Show and JD Clayton,” BMI’s Nashville AVP Creative, Mason Hunter, said. “Since its launch in 2016, this series has been a staple moment in the early stages of many affiliates’ careers including Dylan Marlowe, Morgan Wallen and The War And Treaty. BMI looks forward to carrying on with this tradition by continuing to offer a unique Music City experience for our talent.”
Serving as emcee of the night, Hunter welcomed the crowd before introducing JD Clayton who brought his genuine craftsmanship to the stage by launching into “Beauty Queen.” The night’s headliner, Old Crow Medicine Show, made a lasting impression on the audience as they are celebrating 25 years as a band this year. Highlights included a special rendition of their signature song “Wagon Wheel” along with a cover of “Tush” in honor of Billy F Gibbons, founder of ZZ Top, who was honored with BMI’s Troubadour Award on Monday, September 18.
