BMI and NYU Present Music in Advertising Workshop
Broadcast Music, Inc., in partnership with NYU Steinhardt, presented its annual NYU/BMI Music in Advertising Workshop, an intensive three-day seminar dedicated to the business and techniques of composing and producing music for advertising and corporate branding. Held July 24-26 at New York University in Greenwich Village, the workshop focused on both the musician/production and business skills required to be successful in these areas. The faculty and panelists included composers and workshop instructors Peter Nashel (Duotone Audio Group) and Andy Bloch (Human: Music and Sound Design), composer and NYU Music Associate Professor of Film Scoring Mark Suozzo (American Splendor) and Director, NYU Music Department Ron Sadoff The workshop was produced by Dr. Ron Sadoff, and BMI’s Vice President of Film/TV Relations, Doreen Ringer-Ross.
