Los Angeles’ Microsoft Theater was buzzing last night with fan-voted American Music Award wins for many BMI affiliates. Leading the pack with multiple trophies was Taylor Swift, who swept three awards, Song of the Year for “Blank Space,” Favorite Album – Pop/Rock for 1989, and Favorite Artist – Adult Contemporary; Nicki Minaj who won two, Favorite Artist – Rap/Hip Hop and Favorite Album – Rap/Hip Hop for The Pinkprint; Florida Georgia Line, also with two wins for Favorite Duo or Group – Country and Favorite Album – Country for Anything Goes; and One Direction* who claimed both Artist of the Year and Favorite Duo or Group – Pop/Rock.
