BMI Congratulates its 2015 Billboard Latin Music Award Nominees

Once again, BMI affiliates had a strong showing as nominees of the annual Billboard Latin Music Awards. Leading the list is Dwayne Sirvestor Nesmith’s song, “Odio” (performed by Romeo Santos featuring Drake), which received six nods, including Song of the Year – Tropical, Song of the Year – Hot Latin Song, Song of the Year – Digital and Song of the Year – Streaming.

Legendary Latin music sensation Santana collected five nominations, including Album of the Year – Top Latin and Album of the Year – Latin Pop for his album, Corazon. Julion Alvarez Y Su Norteño Banda also earned five nominations, including Song Artist of the Year Duo or Group – Hot Latin and Album Artist of the Year – Duo or Group – Top Latin. Banda Sinaloense MS De Sergio Lizarraga also garnered five nominations, including Regional Mexican Song Artist of the Year – Duo or Group and Regional Mexican Album Artist of the Year – Duo or Group.

Prince Royce proved his royal mettle once again, with four nominations, including Artist of the Year and Latin Rhythm Album Artist of the Year – Duo or Group. He is tied with Wisin, whose four nods include Latin Rhythm Songs Artist of the Year – Solo and Latin Rhythm Album of the Year. The late Latina diva of banda music, Jenni Rivera, also received four nominations, including  Song Artist of the Year Female – Hot Latin and Album Artist of the Year – Female – Top Latin. Rounding out the list of multiple nominations is Chayanne, whose three nominations include Album Artist of the Year – Solo – Latin Pop.
 
The event will air live from Miami on the Telemundo network on April 30, 2015, as part of the Billboard Latin Music Conference, which runs from April 27–30, 2015, at The Ritz-Carlton in Miami Beach, Fla.
