Broadcast Music Inc.’s Senior Vice President and General Counsel, Stu Rosen, and Senior Vice President, Distribution and Administration Services, Alison Smith, recently participated in the California Copyright Conference’s “Music Industry Under Attack” panel discussion in Studio City, CA. The conference focused on current issues facing the industry, including rights withdrawal and recent Pandora court cases. In addition to BMI executives, the panel also included Clark Miller, Executive Vice President, North America, Operations, Warner/Chappell Music. Steve Winogradsky, Esq., President, Winogradsky/Sobel, and author of Music Publishing: The Complete Guide, moderated the discussion.

Established in 1953, the California Copyright Conference first formed as a discussion forum for copyright-related areas pertaining to music and entertainment. Today, the scope of the CCC has expanded to cover all matters relevant to music industry issues.
