BMI proudly hosted its sixth annual golf tournament at Braemar Country Club in Tarzana, CA, to benefit Education Through Music – Los Angeles (ETM–LA). The independent 501(c)(3) organization partners with inner-city schools with the mission of providing and promoting music education in disadvantaged schools, and the event, held on August 24, 2015, brought together BMI executives, composers, music supervisors, managers and others from the music community in support of this worthy goal.

Beginning the day at 9 a.m., BMI Assistant Vice President, Film/TV Relations Ray Yee welcomed more than 70 participants to a competitive day of golf at the scenic course. The day-long event concluded with a barbecue in the club’s dining room, where Yee announced the winning teams. After speaking about the importance of music education, ETM–LA’s Executive Director Victoria Lanier capped off the event with a compelling performance with Mario Felix, a student from Guardian Angel School in Pacoima, CA.
