BMI singer-songwriter Ruby Velle opened the 2016 Restaurant Leadership Conference (on 4/4/16) in style, with a sizzling, soulful performance in front more of 1,000 restaurant industry executives who traveled to Phoenix to gain insights into the latest trends and innovations affecting their businesses.  The restaurant industry is a huge supporter of BMI songwriters and publishers, as thousands of establishments across the country pay licensing fees for the right to publicly perform BMI music in their venues. Velle, who fronts the Atlanta-based R & B band, Ruby Velle and the Soulphonics, is currently in the studio working on a solo project, as well as the band’s new album.
