BMI London’s Nick Robinson was caught taking time out from attending the seminars and panels at the goNORTH music convention in Inverness, Scotland, where he was treated to a boat trip across the legendary Loch Ness.

goNORTH was launched by GoEvents in 2001 so acts from Northern Scotland and the Highlands and Islands could showcase in front of music industry and media representatives on their own patch. The event also features seminars and Q&A sessions aimed at helping emerging artists, managers and labels.

Traditionally hosted in several venues on Aberdeen’s Belmont Street, goNORTH has become the largest newcomer festival in Scotland, with over 60 bands performing over two nights. To coincide with the Highland Year of Culture and Rockness, goNORTH was held in the Capital of the Highlands, Inverness.
