BMI Mourns the Loss of Blues Singer Marion James
Nashville’s Queen of the Blues and BMI affiliate known for her top 10 single “That’s My Man,” Marion James, passed away last Thursday at the age of 81. A veteran to Nashville’s blues music scene, James, who also toured worldwide, was a staple performer in the clubs on Music City’s Jefferson Street, adding her own brand of blues into the musical mix of the “it” city. She will be sadly missed by her friends and fans at BMI.
