BMI Executive Director, Distribution & Administration Services Michael Crepezzi recently supported the House of Blues Music Forward Foundation’s “Bringin’ Down The House,” as a participant in the “Music As A Business” panel which took place on Saturday, March 14, at the House of Blues in West Hollywood, CA. The panel, which was live streamed at seven participating House of Blues locations with an audience of more than 400 students, also included entertainment attorney and instructor Steve Winogradsky; Jordan Passman, founder of ScoreAScore; Paul McGuigan, Vice President of Talent at House of Blues; David Gluck of Rumblefish; Thomas Golubic of SuperMusicVision; and Ezekiel Lewis, Motown’s Senior Vice President of A&R. The topics discussed included contracts, music rights, YouTube, major and indie labels, commercial music opportunities and other information important to all songwriters and artists in today’s marketplace. In addition to interactive workshops, Bringin’ Down the House also provides the opportunity for musicians, ages 13-19, to showcase their talent on the legendary House of Blues stage.
