BMI Partners with Hotel and Radio Group to Present Montana Songwriters Festival

BMI proudly partnered recently (Sept 11-12) with the historic Sacajawea Hotel and Cherry Creek Radio with support from the Montana Lodging and Hospitality Association to present the 1st annual Sacajawea Songwriters Festival in scenic Three Forks, Montana. The two-day festival featured a songwriter’s clinic and a local songwriting competition, as well as a number of live performances at the hotel and at venues in town.  Five award-winning BMI songwriters were the featured writers for the inaugural event, including Helen Darling, Billy Montana, Even Stevens, Kylie Sackley and local Montana legend, Kostas, who collectively have written hit songs for country superstars Garth Brooks, Faith Hill, Eddie Rabbitt, Kenny Rogers, Lee Brice, Sara Evans, Patty Loveless, Jo Dee Messina and Dwight Yoakam, among others.
