BMI Partners With Latin Alternative Music Conference in 2013

Posted in News on July 11, 2013

Broadcast Music, Inc. is once again a proud sponsor of the Latin Alternative Music Conference (LAMC), taking place July 9 - 13, 2013, in New York City. Headquartered annually at the New Yorker Hotel in midtown Manhattan, LAMC offers a mix of engaging panel discussions with industry experts, live performances by established and emerging artists in different venues throughout the Big Apple and networking opportunities for members of the Latin alternative music industry in the United States and abroad.

This year, BMI Director, Latin Writer/Publisher Relations Carolina Arenas will be participating in a panel on July 11 presented by Bandzoogle titled “DIY 2.0: Tools for the Nueva Generación.” Sharing the stage with her will be BMI songwriter Carla Morrison, TV personality Pili Montilla, Kendel Ratley of Kickstarter, Tony Van Veen of CD Baby/Disc Makers, David Dufresne of Bandzoogle and Megan West of SoundCloud.

In addition, several BMI acts will be performing during LAMC 2013. Please check with the LAMC site or each individual venue for exact set times and ticket availability as some showcases are limited to LAMC badgeholders. Updates on the conference are available on Twitter via the hashtag #LAMC2013.
